Currently the fire is said to be 5% contained which is the first time any containment has been announced for the fire.<\/p>\n<p>Total personnel involved have risen to 628.<\/p>\n<p>Assets include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>5 Type 1 helicopters<\/li>\n<li>4 heavy air tankers<\/li>\n<li>1 VLAT (Very Large Air Tanker. Drops 11,700 gallons per load)<\/li>\n<li>6 water tenders<\/li>\n<li>25 engines (25 engines on order)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The incident command center will be transferred from Pahrump to Centennial Hills High School in Las Vegas. On Sunday Rich Harvey&#8217;s Type 1 Team will assume command of fire operations.<\/p>\n<p>A community meeting will be held in Las Vegas on Sunday to update residents on fire operations and evacuations.\u00a0 The time and location, when announced, will be posted on here.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A current report states that the Carpenter 1 Fire has grown to 14,108 acres.
