The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) says that winter parking restrictions will be put in place at Mount Charleston starting in December and concluding at the end of March.
“No Parking” signs will be placed throughout Kyle and Lee canyons and parking restrictions will be enforced by Metro police and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers.
Parking will be eliminated on State Route (SR) 157 from SR158 to the Mount Charleston Lodge and on SR156 from the Meadows to the ski resort and the fire station in Lee Canyon.
Fines begin at $190 and visitors should not park on private property or in residential areas. Trespassing fines begin at $150.
Snow chains may be required at Mount Charleston during the winter months. You cannot stop in travel lanes to place snow chains on your vehicle.
